The Saudi Society at Curtin wish to invite members to attend the upcoming Special General Meeting.
All members are invited to the club's SGM so that you can have your say in the future of the club. To run a successful meeting, we need members like you to cast your vote to ensure the club is running in the best interests of our members.
The purpose of the SGM is to democratically elect 2025 office bearers in line with the Guild's Default Club Constitution & report on the club’s operations during 2024. Associate members can only attend if invited & must only observe unless invited by the chair of the meeting to speak on a matter. Curtin clubs must be run entirely by Curtin Students, for the benefit of Curtin students.
Agenda
An updated agenda will be circulated to members via email after nominations have closed.
At the meeting, ordinary members will have the opportunity to:
Hear the club’s operational & financial reports from 2024,
Speak about items on the agenda,
Vote on any resolutions proposed,
Vote to elect the committee for the remainder of 2025.
Attendance
Members can attend online or in-person. It is helpful if members register their attendance so that the club can manage attendance numbers as a quorum of 10 ordinary members is required to run a successful SGM. If you're unsure, you can still turn up on the day!
Submit a Motion
Ordinary members can submit a motion to add to the agenda should time allow. Please submit via email to hello@ssac.cguild.club. Submissions Close: 24 June 2025
Call for Committee Nominations & Eligibility
